“Through this activity, USAID is contributing to improvements in the supply and demand for vaccinations by strengthening effective communication, including at the community level. The activity is generating more advocacy and an objective public dialogue on immunization within the context of ongoing health reform; helping to counter misinformation about vaccines through tailored and evidence-based communication and community engagement; and strengthening the ability of health officials to plan, forecast, and manage vaccines at the regional and community levels.

Facilitated more than 405,000 consultations since 2022 for children and parents on vaccines via the National Hotline on Vaccination and Infant Feeding, “Jointly to Health,” established in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ukrainian Catholic University. The activity conducted online educational vaccine events on UNICEF Ukraine’s social media reaching over 25,000 individuals.”

Commentary:
Of the billions of dollars sent to Ukraine over the past five years, here is $10 million dedicated to promoting vaccination. This grant began in 2018, before Covid or the Russian incursion, which indicates that these types of mass vaccine propaganda projects were in development for longer than many may realize.
